Provenance and Background Info

Restored 1960’s ‘Condor’ coffee table designed by Frederik Schriever-Abeln, made by TH Brown & Sons in Australia. TH Brown & Sons held the license to produce various Scandinavian designs in Australia back in the 1960’s. This handcrafted masterpiece sits at the pinnacle and offers a rare investment opportunity. The sculptural timber base has recently been restored so presents beautifully. The mid-tone of the timber will work in with many interiors. I’d say it’s crafted from Tasmanian Oak. It’s not as dark as teak or Blackwood so has a less imposing look. This piece has a stylish designer look with a warm, earthy slant. This design is tightly held onto and rarely comes onto the market.

This table is in excellent vintage condition with no condition issues that warrant a mention. It's about 60 years old and presents very well. I'd say this is the original glass top from the 60's. Expect the glass to have minor scratches but as far as vintage glass goes it looks great.
