Description

SOLD for $5,000 the PAIR (October 2025).

The listed price is an OFFERS OVER price for BOTH CHAIRS! I think these are the best chairs in this style iNVISeDGE has had after 24 years of trading so we’ve chosen an OFFERS OVER situation.

PLEASE NOTE- the best representation of the colour of the chairs and the condition is shown in each of the photos depicting ONE CHAIR only. I could face a single chair toward the light- the photos of each single chair are well-lit. There wasn’t enough space to do that when both chairs are shown in the photos. The chairs were falling in shadow. I was able to Photoshop those images to brighten them up but the colours and tones are less accurate in those photos. I’ve included some images with no Photoshopping to show the space I was working with and where the lighting source was. It was one of those rare situations where low lighting presented a major challenge. Use the photos of each individual chair for best accuracy. Also, one of the photos that shows the backs has a lamp shining towards the back- the orangey colour of one back is from the lighting source and poor lighting- the cushions are all pristine- front and back. There are two sets of cushion covers included in the sale for these chairs as shown in the photos- there’s grey and also the designer striped-covers included.

LOCATION- being sold under consignment by a private seller in Bayswater North. I travelled to this location and personally photographed the chairs to be 100% versed in what I’m selling. Freight of this pair of chairs to Sydney would be around $240.

RARE PAIR of Ole Wanscher Model 119 Lounge Chairs by France & Søn.
Discover the pinnacle of Danish design with these Ole Wanscher Model 119 Lounge Chairs, often hailed as the finest Danish lounge chair ever crafted. This masterpiece from France & Søn embodies timeless elegance, blending sophistication with unparalleled comfort.
With its refined, flowing lines and minimalist, clean back, the Model 119 avoids the overly sculptural flourishes of other Danish designs. Instead, it exudes a quiet confidence, providing a stylish and restrained aesthetic that will elevate any space. The beautiful grain of the timber shines through, showcasing the chair’s craftsmanship and natural warmth. I think these are the best chairs in this style we’ve had after 24 years of trading.
The original vintage fabric is a rare gem—top-quality, in pristine condition, and boasting a modernist tone that has inspired today’s reupholstery trends. Paired with the original sprung-cushions, these chairs deliver exceptional comfort, with perfect angles and just the right “give” in the seat and back. Anyone would agree these are among the most comfortable chairs you’ll ever experience. The low-line silhouette adds versatility, making the Model 109 a seamless fit for any interior, from mid-century modern to contemporary. Low-line designs like this are highly sought-after. They offer a sleek, grounded look that anchors a room without overwhelming it.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen a pair of Ole Wanscher chairs like this in Australia. On a worldwide platform, single Ole Wanscher lounge chairs usually fetch around AU $4,200 EACH. Matching pairs are infinitely more valuable per chair. I saw matching pairs online fetching AU $10,000 all the way up to AU $26,000. Our offers over price provides iNVISeDGE customers with a no-brainer INVESTMENT.
Elevate your home with the Ole Wanscher Model 119 Lounge Chair by France & Sons—a true icon of refined elegance, comfort, and enduring style. Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of Danish design history. Investing in the pinnacle of vintage design is an astute way to go. Iconic designs such as this continue to increase in value over time whilst you get to use and enjoy them- particularly chairs with loose cushions sitting on a frame. They’re easy to keep clean and offer the easiest upholstery job out of any chair.

This pair of chairs are both in pristine condition for their age. There is NO separation in any joint, NO wobbles, NO looseness, NO cracks/ NO splits in the timber or around any joint- NO structural damage of any kind. They are all rock-solid pieces. Cosmetically they are just as amazing- the timber has been lovingly and professionally restored. I can't fault the timber in any way. The cushions are just as good. The cushions and covers present incredibly well for chairs of this age. They are in the best condition I've ever seen chairs of this era in. There is also a pair of designer striped-covers included in the sale. These don't look like they've ever been used. The original covers are the same- they would have been but there's no indication of it. This is a remarkable set in every sense of the word. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Measurements.
