This coffee table sold through iNVISeDGE in 2005 for $795. These days (in 2019) I’d price the same piece in iNVISeDGE at about $1295 (depending on how quickly the seller needs a sale etc). Certainly an authentic 1950’s / early 1960’s piece and RARE- this vintage piece is as much a work of art as it is a functional piece of furniture. I’m not sure who made it (even today after about 18 years in this business)- all I know is that it’s an exceptional piece of design. All the big four boutique Melbourne makers come to mind when I see the photos of this piece these days- Dario Zoureff, Schulim Krimper, Rosando Brothers and Jakob Rudowski. I lived in Sydney at that time and found this piece in Sydney- I don’t think it was done by one of the boutique Sydney makers from that era though. It may have also been done by one of the more obscure Danish makers from the mid-century era.

It’s a shame I found this piece back in 2005- the photos don’t really do the piece justice- an exceptional piece!
