Provenance and Background Info

(Written in 2025).

Definitely one of the best storage units ever made, this piece was designed by Giovanni Pelis for Stile Neolt in the 1960’s. Such a handy piece! Easy to move around, takes up minimal space and has GREAT storage. These are a no-brainer investment. In the 25 years I’ve been in this business I’ve consistently seen these increase in value. You won’t find anything new like this and I’ve only seen a handful of these vintage pieces around over the last 25 years. One in Europe is currently priced at almost AU $2,000! They’re very hard to get in Australia, ensuring the re-sale value of this vintage designer piece is always assured. The quality is exceptional. This is ABS plastic, known for its strength and durability.

Great for those who love vintage Kartell furniture.

This Giovanni Pelis piece is about 60 years old so has tell-tale signs of use and age. It presents very well as far as these go though. Minor discolouration only and some feint makes to the top and middle shelf. Click on the Magnifying Glass tool to enlarge each image. Then click on each enlarged image to Supersize it. There are no signs of use that stand out. The marks are all small and very feint. If you need perfection (but why would you- it's vintage and shouldn't look "new) you could cover those top surfaces with white glass thin timber covered with white "contact" wrap. (The stuff we used to cover books in, in the 1980's! I use it a lot.) ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Measurements (taken elsewhere online).
