Provenance and Background Info
I sold these stamped Herman Miller chairs for $1400 for all six back in 2005. I would price the exact same set of Eames chairs at around $1800 for 6 today (2018). I like the earthy, warm feel of this set because of the covers. The covers were the exact reason I priced these chairs so cheaply back in 2005 (because virtually all authentic Eames chairs don’t usually have covers like this). This business has changed significantly since 2005. Back then the swarm of Eames replicas HADN’T yet hit the market. Now with cheap ugly Eames replicas everywhere it is the original covers on these (from the 1970’s) that sets them apart. These covers would add an earthy slant to any space and would allow timber additions giving your space an intriguing look. These Herman Miller pieces are great chairs and something I’d certainly stock in iNVISeDGE again. Most likely circa 1970’s- AUTHENTIC EAMES FIBREGLASS CHAIRS (with embossed Herman Miller tags).
