Provenance and Background Info

Certainly up there with the most stunning chairs we’ve ever stocked in 12 years of trading. Want to liven up a bare corner in a sleek modern space? This Coco Republic chair (by Bernhardt Furniture) could be it. This piece was stocked by Coco Republic about 7 years ago for $4000. Stylish, unique and so heavy- as far as quality goes, you’d be hard-pressed to find better. Heavy steel- I think this is stainless steel and the seat is upholstered in a beautiful velvety suede fabric in a contemporary colour. Black can be overpowering in some spaces- this charcoal tone mutes the black down a few notches whilst maintaining a stunning contrast with the frame. It’s my understanding this Bernhardt chair is no longer stocked- I couldn’t find it on the Coco Republic website. They have a chair in a similar concept called the Mars chair which was $4000 (Clearance Price $3200). I personally don’t like the Mars design nearly half as much as this one. Coco Republic has over 35 years-experience in the furniture and design industry and has carved out such a reputation in the field that they now have their own interior design school. With carefully selected designs such as this one by Bernhardt of the USA, Coco Republic are set to continue paving the way forward for everyone else to follow. This chair retains the original label and is comfortable as well- all angles are spot-on to make it that perfect sitting chair.

With an original $4000 retail price tag there are not many of these around and with a construction that’s as heavy as hell this chair won’t be falling apart in a hurry. If you threw this Coco Republic chair off a balcony I think the concrete below would be worse for wear, not the chair! Investing in quality furniture is one of the best ways to invest in your home and reduce landfill.
