This full 3-piece suite- the 2-seater sofa AND matching pair of chairs sold through iNVISeDGE in 2018 for $1800 (for the FULL suite). Today in 2019 I’d price it at more. The quality of this suite was exceptional.

A stunning 2.5-seater sofa custom-built in Melbourne about 8 years ago. (THE MATCHING PAIR OF CHAIRS ARE AVAILABLE SEPARATELY!) This Australian-made lounge suite boasts the highest-quality manufacture. TOP-GRAIN AUSTRALIAN LEATHER has been used that’s soft, supple and very durable. The timber frame is hardwood with a Rosewood stain- the frame is SOLID-TIMBER- no veneer has been used at all and it has been made completely from hardwood so it’s very HEAVY and DURABLE. This suite has been HAND-CRAFTED- not slapped together as a flat-pack and sent to Australia from a developing country. The frame on this suite will last not just a life-time but with a little sense it will last forever. There is not much furniture on the market this can be said for- even some top brands that sell for $20 000+. This suite was custom-built and the customer paid over $8200 for the 3-piece suite about 8 years ago- I can see where the value is. The top-quality AUSTRALIAN LEATHER upholstery would be worth about $3200 alone- for the leather and to get it upholstered here in Australia by an experienced upholsterer.
It takes talent for a furniture item to look minimalist yet still attract attention- this is stunning! The shapes and styling are really striking but this would also nestle into a modern minimalist interior very well. This is COMMERCIAL-GRADE furniture so would be ideal to use anywhere.
This suite ticks the looks and quality box but there’s a tick for comfort as well. The angles are spot-on and the seats are also deeper than normal. Many modern sofa companies are doing this now. It allows more casual comfort because you can put your feet up underneath you if you want to laze around for hours watching TV or movies. You need a cushion to put behind your back for normal sitting position but otherwise you can sit in this suite in any way you want and because of the deeper seat there’s enough space for 2 people to curl up comfortably on the sofa from each end. The seat has good support as well so you don’t feel like you keep on sinking (and need to fight your way out of it) whenever it comes time to get up!
This sofa would make a smart investment and it’s also an earth-friendly choice. Buying furniture that has already stood the test of time is a smart way to go- this suite may only be 8 years old but quality issues in furniture show up quickly. You can pay $2500 for a leather lounge sofa from Freedom Furniture but this custom-made frame (built from SOLID HARDWOOD) has been built to last FOREVER (if used with some sense). There are very few better ways to invest in your home and reduce landfill (if any). Same quality as B & B Italia, Cassina, Coco Republic, Cammerich, Arthur G. Better quality than FLER, Parker, most Danish designs., Poliform etc

For 8 years of use as the main lounge suite in a family home this sofa (and the chairs which are in a separate listing) is in excellent condition. There are NO condition issues to report. The solid timber frames are strong and extremely sturdy with NO breaks, NO repairs, NO movement in any joint area, NO cracks (nothing of the sort). The timber has a few very minor surface marks and bumps to edges but nothing that’s noticed. It’s HARDWOOD so very hard to dent. Various edges had wear to the Rosewood finish but I’ve touched up most of this now. Apart from that the suite needed a quick clean only. The finish is also TOP-QUALITY- hard and resistant to use. There were a few ring-marks on the arms when this came in but they wiped off in seconds- there’s no sign of them anymore. (I’d suggest using drink coasters though to protect your investment.) The seat cushioning is brilliant and shows NO degradation at all. The LEATHER is brilliant quality with NO scratches, NO scuffs, NO cuts, NO cracks, NO noticeable wear at all. Just minor signs that it has been sat in (as the photos show). I’ve had a lot of experience with different furniture leathers- this leather is in a similar category to the leather used on the Norwegian Falcon chairs from the 1970’s and they all look great over 40 years later. There’s an amazing variance in leather quality- this leather is up there with the best. _____
