Most likely of American or European origin, the craftsmanship from this era speaks for itself- it is extremely sturdy, incredibly durable and boasts fantastic, crisp angles that look brilliant in open-plan spaces.
Comfort-wise, it’s a total dream. The recently made cushions feature the perfect foam density: soft on the surface but dense enough to provide lasting support for hours of lounging.
It has been recently treated to a complete upholstery overhaul using a heavy-weight, highly durable commercial-grade fabric. The rich, dark texture perfectly anchors the airy, organic feel of the vintage bamboo frame. An exceptional piece of international design history, in brilliant condition ready for its next home.

This cane chair is about 60 years old and in brilliant condition for its age. It is SOLID, STURDY and STRONG with NO breaks to the cane. This is quality cushioning- the cushions are soft but also heavy and supportive. The cushions have been recently reupholstered in a high-quality fabric. The cane is in great condition- no unsightly finishes to the cane- it is light in colour, clean and presents very well. There is an area on the back of the chair where the cane has darkened- I'm not sure what this is from. It's not really noticeable as it's lower down and could be fixed up if it bothers you. I'd say it'd sand off, otherwise you could get some paint mixed up at Bunnings to match the colour of the cane and paint over that area.
