I think this is one of the best pieces I’ve ever stocked in iNVISeDGE (over the last 26 years of being in this business FULL-TIME). I’ve never seen ANYTHING like it before and I’ve seen so much stuff in my time! Before writing this description I decided to trawl online for about half an hour- I could only find one like it for sale worldwide. That one wasn’t in France, Europe or even the USA. It was in Canada and was priced at more than AU $20,000! RARE is honestly an understatement.
And the investment appeal on offer here is just as much an understatement. Something like this could fetch anything really- the $20,000 price tag in Canada substantiates this claim.
I just LOVE this thing! It’s right up my alley. When you’ve been doing a job like this for for so long, it takes something pretty special for me to really take notice and want something myself. If I wasn’t in an apartment I’d find it very difficult to not buy this. I think what it is for me (apart from the investment appeal of a piece like this), is the interesting mix of TOTAL FRENCH GLAMOUR with the story that goes along with it- this is one of the quirkiest pieces of furniture I’ve ever come across. In fact, I don’t even think quirky even comes close to describing it. Plus it’s just so God-damn glamourous!
And despite it being quirky and interesting, I can really picture this in a wide variety of interiors. It would work in virtually any home. What I love so much is the ABUNDANCE OF UNIQUE STORAGE but it takes up very little floor space. Storage without compromising on space and even though it’s tall it’s not imposing in looks at all. It’s kinda has a minimalist modern vibe to it- white and chrome is very “clean” and is visually the opposite of imposing. If you have the perfect spot for this one, don’t hesitate- you won’t come across anything remotely close to it again- particularly here in country-bumpkin land (ie. Australia!)
The other thing I love about this is the uniqueness of the drawers. They spin outwards in a smooth arc- just opening the drawers is a pleasure. And the depth of the drawers is so practical. No rooting around in drawers ever again! You’ll find everything quickly, effortlessly and with pleasure. I’d use this for all my art supplies- paintbrushes, oil paints, pens, textas, charcoals, paper, cardboard, pencils, wool, fabric scraps … cigarettes (hmmm), power cables, small electronics, even magazines, cutlery, plates … okay I’ve totally bored you shitless now. :+(
This dental cabinet is an antique (C. 1910’s – 1920’s). It has a timeless vibe but is still distinctly vintage. I’d say it’s French. It definitely was NOT made in Australia. It’s most likely is European- it has a slight art nouveau / deco style too so would work famously in your glamourous art deco interior. I imagine this type of thing in the foyer of a glitzy hotel (The Ritz Carlton?). It would be noticed for all the right reasons and would certainly be a talking point. Something guests will talk about and remember for a long time to come.
This cabinet is also VERY WELL built and if you take some care whenever you need to move house with it, it will last not only last another lifetime but forever! No shitty Parker chipboard here- SOLID timber and metal.
Really it just ticks EVERY box!
I have to refrain from using any more exclamation marks in this description- I hate it when internet sellers use exclamation points in abundance but I can’t help it here. I think this piece warrants as many as I feel U want to use.
Items like this sideboard are the reason I do this job. They ignite inspiration in us all- they tick every box and prove that great design and careful workmanship lives on. This HAND-CREATED piece is bound to tell stories well after you and I have gone. There’s no better way to invest in your home and reduce landfill.

As the photos show, this cabinet is in excellent condition particularly for something that's over 100 years old. This item has no damage just signs of use to the surface paint only. It's an antique so we've opted to leave it as is. There's nothing unsightly just what you'd expect of something that's this old. (The timber underneath is in excellent condition.) The cabinet is very likely to be in fully original condition. Really to have something in this condition of this age is astounding but then again not. The construction quality is astounding- probably the best made storage piece we've ever had after 25+ years of trading. No expense was spared in constructing this best- it was done back in the day when things were made properly- to last forever. Even the paint finish is very resilient.

PICK-UP . . . is accepted- professional delivery is preferred. If the item is heavy you will require two strong people for pick-up. PLEASE NOTE- I live in Brisbane and run this business from Brisbane. PICK-UPS and VIEWINGS will be facilitated by a sub-contractor (someone who is NOT an employee of iNVISeDGE). I recommend that customers use a specialist furniture carrier for larger furniture items- these people know what they’re doing and come with what’s needed to look after your investment. I’ve seen too many customers try to force things in the back of 4WDs or put something in a trailer not protected. LOCAL DELIVERIES tend to be ABOUT $70 to $100 for a ONE-MAN delivery (for ONE standard sized item eg. 3.5-seater sofa or a set of 6 dining chairs). If you live over 25km away from the item, delivery will be AROUND $120 but it depends on various factors such as access issues and when you can receive the item. Sydney is a little more expensive compared to Brisbane (as another example) . . . . . . . “Normal” INTERSTATE DELIVERY (eg. Brisbane to Sydney OR Melbourne to Sydney) is generally about $250 for ONE standard-sized item (eg. a 3.5-seater sofa or a set of 6 dining chairs but it can depend on various factors. Sometimes it will be cheaper- $250 is about the average. Smaller items are less than $250. If you have a really big sofa (as an example) it will usually be around $280.
